Blue Baking Dish, $42

This beautiful flat-bottomed dish does double duty as baker and server. It is a complex, speckly blue; if you look closely, you can see elements of tan, cream, and even purple in the glaze. This piece is handbuilt of a single slab, making it stronger. The edges scallop gently to create a unique and organic shape. Handles are made of squeezed coils of clay -- you can see the impressions of my fingers.

Measures 2" tall x 9 1/2"wide (dimension includes handles) x 8" across.

This piece is absolutely one of a kind -- I've never made another one like it, and I couldn't duplicate it if I tried.

Like all Fine Mess Pottery Stoneware, this piece is leadfree, ovenproof, and microwave and dishwasher safe. The high temperature that stoneware is fired to makes it the most durable pottery made.
